About The Professional Resources NERCVE Provides

The NERCVE Professional Resource center provides education professionals in the visual impairments field the opportunity to communicate with peers, explore employment opportunities, and access NERCVE multimedia professional development presentations.

The Professional Directory is a list of education professionals in the visual impairments field and their contact information. Any education professional in the visual impairments field who wishes to be listed in the NERCVE Professional Directory may create a professional profile.

The Employment Center provides a forum for job seekers in the field of visual impairments to search for employment opportunities and post a Professional profile which will b viewable to potential employers. Employers can post a job opening and review the Professional profiles of potential candidates for jobs they are seeking to fill at their organization. Check this section regularly, since we receive new opportunities and candidate profiles frequently!

The Professional Communication Center is an extremely valuable resource for education professionals in the field of visual impairments. The Professional Communication page will include a message board, a tcConference chat room and text message board and A-chat for users with visual impairments. The Professional Communication page also includes links and instructions about how to utilize the various communication tools available on the NERCVE web site and how these innovative tools can enhance your professional experience. NERCVE also maintains a listserv to foster communication between professionals.

NERCVE also maintains connections with other organizations in the New England area. The New Hampshire Professional Development Center for Vision Education provides resources to vision educational professionals in N.H. The Northeast Chapter of the Association for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (NEAER) centralizes on bringing the mission of the Association for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (AER) to the New England area.
