Education Consultant 1 (Teacher of the Visually Impaired)

The State of Connecticut, Department of Aging and Disability Services (ADS), Bureau of Education and Services for the Blind is recruiting for an Education Consultant 1 (10 Months) position. The preferred candidate should be an organized individual who works well independently and collaboratively with others. In addition, the preferred candidate should be knowledgeable in the principles and methods of education of children who are blind and visually impaired, including children with multiple impairments. This includes all areas of the expanded core curriculum (ECC). Responsibilities will include traveling statewide.

Qualifications

Graduation from college (graduation shall be considered successful completion of a four-year college course or its equivalent) and not less than twelve (12) semester hours credit in courses applicable to the blind or partially-sighted.
