This position will help to jump start a career, inspire many and affect real change.
This person has strong interpersonal and presentation skills, is passionate, innovative, organized, and capable of working with a diverse group of people. They will have the ability to make decisions in a variety of situations and work with a group of leaders to decide on best courses of action.
The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for supporting two programs that focus on building job readiness skills for youth and adults that are blind and visually impaired.
These programs, LEAP and the Business Enterprise Program, need your help to refine and enhance our human resource systems, collect and analyze information, coordinate with Program Managers and Directors to implement these systems and provide leadership and support.

ReSOURCE is an innovative non-profit organization dedicated to environmental stewardship, educational training and economic opportunities This AmeriCorps position must complete 1800 hours in 12 months and some weekend hours required; reports to the LEAP Program Manager.
AmeriCorps, also known as the domestic Peace Corps, engages Americans of all ages in service opportunities. The AmeriCorps LEAP HR Coordinator position is grant funded by SerVermont through the Every Body Works Program.
·       Refine and expand existing management, reporting, documentation and procedures for personnel
·       Co-lead and supervise three LEAP Retreats (October, February, April)
·       Help participants develop competitive job skills which will lead to potential future employment
·       Instill the skills of the art of dialogue, active listening, and confrontation in our participants
·       Act as trainer providing job readiness skills to consumers participating in work experiences at any of our job training locations
·       Identify VT students eligible for DBVI services, and work with management to develop a marketing packet. This packet is meant to provide information about services available to appropriate consumers
·       Support menu development for summer residential programming
·       Provide support organizing 4-5 member crew for Summer 2020 summer program
·       Support recruitment of participants for summer 2020
·       Support the planning, development and facilitation of 2020 summer staff training
·       Represent the culture of LEAP
·       Oversee human resources for Facilitators and crew over the ten week summer programming
·       Responsible for traveling between worksites and housing, updating human resource report, i.e., Facilitators check ins, facility maintenance, dietary menus, maintain weekly calendar/events, ensure appropriate number of activities
·       Circulate daily visits and complete reporting
·       Report any conflicts between students, crew leaders, internship sites supervisors to LEAP staff for support and proper documentation
·       Point person for medical needs for reporting
·       Work with LEAP staff to ensure communication to partners and visitors
·       Ensure proper signage and communication in housing
·       Ensure crew leaders provide leadership, supervision, motivation and direction to a diverse group of Corps Members who are blind or visually impaired
·       Execute systems to ensure timely and effective support systems for staff paperwork, payroll, communications, program calendar,
·       Effectively works to support the Facilitators and is flexible to providing coverage as necessary
·       Provide email correspondence including feedback and acknowledgement to partners and crew leaders
·       Supporting the crew leaders to train crew in work skills and independent living skills
·       Ensure LEAP Policies and follow appropriate discipline procedures
·       Guarantee communication regarding any personnel, vendor, partner, community, etc issues or incidents are reported to LEAP management
·       Use sound judgment with consultation to navigate difficult situations and decisions, and share any anticipated challenges or opportunities with LEAP management
·       Work with supervisor to establish personal development goals
·       Participate in ReSOURCE staff meetings and events
