Teacher of the Blind and Visually Impaired Substitute

Itinerant teacher to service students throughout Wilson and Lewiston-Porter school districts (including non-public schools) that are receiving Individualized Education Program (IEP) or Section 504 Vision teacher services in grades kindergarten through 12.  The teacher must demonstrate the ability to align lessons to the IEP goals and New York State Standards.  The teacher must demonstrate the ability to plan and implement engaging learning activities and deliver instruction based upon an individual’s needs.

Qualifications

<p>The teacher must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to effectively communicate and interact with parents, teachers and students.&nbsp; Orientation and Mobility Specialist Certification is desired.&nbsp; Appropriate teaching certification is preferred.&nbsp; Regular attendance and dependability are required.&nbsp; Other responsibilities may be assigned.&nbsp; The assignment is subject to change.</p>
