Improving Education for Individuals with Visual Impairments.

Teacher of the Visually Impaired - Full-time

Share a diverse caseload serving students ages pre-school through high school, 3-22 in a collaborative serving towns north of Boston. Responsibilities include providing direct and consultation services as per IEP and 504 plans, completing evaluations including writing goals and objectives as well as updating student progress. Direct and consultation services to students, staff and parents, including inservice training for educational teams and/or parents and participation in educational team meetings. Responsibilities of the teacher of students with visual impairments may include teaching Braille, prebraille, use of high and low-tech assistive technology relative to visual impairments including computer skills and other compensatory vision skills.
