Seeking an Orientation & Mobility/Vision Rehabilitation Instructor for a remote position in Western, Massachusetts. The Orientation & Mobility/Vision Rehabilitation Instructor is responsible for providing evaluations and instruction to individuals with combined vision and hearing loss to develop independent travel skills to foster a more independent lifestyle in their community of choice.
HKNC will reimburse up to $1,500 in moving costs for out of state applicants! We provide training in both ASL and braille as well as many other on-the-job skills!

Master’s degree in Rehabilitation of the Blind with an emphasis in Orientation & Mobility and ACVREP certified or eligible for certification within 6 months of hire.
Strong writing skills and knowledge of MS Office and Internet required.
Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in American Sign Language and braille preferred or expected to attain proficiency.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certified Orientation & Mobility Specialist (COMS).
Must possess a valid Driver's license.
