Responsible for providing direct and indirect instruction to students with visual impairments in public schools. The teacher will work in collaboration with school district personnel to meet student needs as outlined in IEP's and 504 Plans. Responsibilities include but are not limited to direct instruction, assessments, attending team meetings, staff trainings, consultation with other service providers, assistive technology, low vision aids/equipment, progress monitoring and communication with parents.
5 or more years of experience in the field, preferably with expertise in the following areas: ocular motor dysfunction, CVI, AAC, dual diagnoses, intensive educational needs, low vision, behavioral disorders, Autism spectrum disorders. Hold NH certification/license in Blind/Visually Impaired or be qualified to obtain. Hold a Master's degree from an accredited university. Must be able to serve students on-site in NH schools as well as remotely.
