Teacher of the Blind & Visually Impaired

Responsible for providing direct and indirect instruction to students with visual impairments in public schools, preschool through secondary. The teacher will work in collaboration with school district personnel and SERESC colleagues to meet student needs as outlined in IEPs or 504 plans. Responsibilities include: direct instruction, assessment, file review, attending Team meetings, staff training, consultation with other service providers and educators, assistive technology, low vision aids, equipment recommendations and maintenance, completion of student records, progress monitoring, and communication with families.

Qualifications

-5 or more years of experience in the field of Blind and Visual Impairment

-NH certification in Blind and Visually Impaired or be qualified to obtain

-Hold degree from accredited university
