During this hands-on remote workshop crafted specifically for TVIs, you will learn how to use non-visual digital maps just like your students, how to teach students to use the maps effectively, and how to create customized maps for individual students. You will also learn how to create customized digital maps to fit your student’s current ability level and to meet the goal of a specific lesson. For example, you may create a school map for an elementary school student, create a reference map of academic material, or an historical map.
This workshop is grant-funded, and limited to professionals in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont.
This course will be taught remotely using Zoom. There will be three hours of in-class instruction. There will also be a pre-reading assignment and an optional final project for additional credits.
